Water Damage Restoration Process

Water damage restoration is performed in stages. Depending on the severity of the situation, it can be quicker than others. The first thing to do as water damage restoration specialists is to conduct an inspection. At Tidal Wave Restoration, we remove any immediate danger to your home or business, and we analyze the affected area to see what needs repair and what is salvageable. Our water damage removal and restoration process then involves removing any standing water and cleanup.

Inspection

Water damage restoration is a complicated process that takes time and experience. The restoration process begins with an initial inspection. Our technicians will determine the damage extent, based on that. We will develop a plan to restore your home or business to its pre-loss condition.

Water Removal Process

After an inspection, the water removal process begins. Our team uses state-of-the-art equipment to extract all standing water from your property as quickly as possible. We can use dehumidifiers or air movers to dry out affected areas quickly and efficiently. Once all the water has been removed from your property, our technicians will use fans and dehumidifiers to speed up the drying process so that you can return home sooner rather than later.

Damaged Content Removal

Once all of the water has been removed from your property, our team will begin removing any damaged content from your home or business--including carpeting, furniture, personal belongings, etc. We have decades of experience dealing with these situations and know how to handle them safely so that nothing gets damaged (or worse yet--replaced).

Sanitization

Once we know what caused the damage, we can start sanitizing your property, so it's safe again. Depending on the situation, we may use disinfectants or other chemicals that kill bacteria and viruses on hard surfaces such as floors and countertops. We also sanitize equipment like carpeting and furniture, so they're safe for use again.

Drying

After sanitization is complete, we begin drying out your property, so it's ready for use again as quickly as possible. We use dehumidifiers to draw moisture out of porous surfaces like concrete floors or walls, while fans blow warm air over wet carpets to dry them fully.

Last Inspection

Once these steps are completed, we go through the water damaged area again to be sure nothing has been missed. If everything is in order, we will approve the final sign-off of the project. If anything is still not dry, we go through the process again.
